Is this a tutoring service? Will (MC)^2 help me learn Algebra/Geometry/Calculus? Will this help my child get ahead in class?
(MC)^2 is definitely not a tutoring service! Although we will certainly employ algebraic and geometric skills, we do not provide acceleration or homework help. You may learn about topics covered in school through our activities, but we are dedicated to enriching your mathematical education in topics not found in a typical classroom setting.
How much math should my child know?
We ask that your child have a good grasp of at least 5th grade math. It is completely fine to get a little confused during our sessions! Just ask questions, and we will help you! We want to challenge you and stretch your mathematical knowledge. We welcome people of all mathematical backgrounds!
Do I have to sign my child up?
We ask that you please sign up using the "Sign Up" tab in the menu.
My child missed the first meeting. Can we still sign up?
Of course! You can sign up anytime throughout our (MC)^2 season.
Can my child miss a few meetings? She sometimes has soccer games on Saturday.
We understand that some conflicts may be inevitable, but we would like your child to attend as many meetings as possible. Coming to meetings will only help her (or him) further her (or his) mathematical proficiency!
